New America Project

Has anyone heard of the New America Project? Supposedly, it was established Spring 1997. The Project for the New American Century's
stated goal is to promote American global leadership. Interesting are some of its founding members:

Dick Cheney
Donald Rumsfeld
Jeb Bush
William J. Bennett
Dan Quayle
Steve Forbes
Paul Wolfowitz

Some items in its Statement of Principles are:
"...boldly and purposefully promotes American principles abroad; and national leadership that accepts the United States' global responsibilities."

"...shape a new century favorable to American principles and interests"

"...shape circumstances before crises emerge..."

I'm interested to hear what others think of an organization like this and why it hasn't been widely publicized.
